Flâneur Machine (FM) explores the relationship between sound and place, highlighting the disconnection and connection that can arise as a foreigner in Europe. Language can feel isolating, but the unfamiliarity of a foreign language creates a unique heterotopia — in-between space— filled with sound. This piece acts as an instrument to deconstruct and recompose these sounds, creating a new dimension in the air by organizing and harmonizing the inherent flow within the text.

1/3 Sonic Vision (FM)

Drawing: ink on paper

This work serves as a sonic blueprint, featuring grids and symbols that convey a musical vision. It functions as a set of instructions for the machine, providing the audience with the means to understand the visual representation of music notes.
